Training possibilities to work with stainless steels
In a rapidly changing world, where building resilient infrastructure and sustainable architectural marvels is a must, stainless steels can be of help. Therefore, the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) wants to inform you about the possibilities with this material. We would like to highlight two different training possibilities.
ISSF will hold a webinar called: Building Bridges for Generations. The webinar will focus on why stainless steels are a key material choice in bridge construction, their key properties, their low maintenance needs and life-cycle costing. The webinar will take place on 9 July 2020 and will take no longer than 1 hour. The same webinar will be run two times on the same day to ensure people in different time zones have an opportunity to join at reasonable times. The first one will be at 08:00 CET and the second one at 14:00 CET.
ISSF has published a series of educational lectures on stainless steel intended for use by professors and students of architecture, building and construction (ABC). The material, in the form of pdf and pptx slides, has been prepared by a panel of industry experts and has been reviewed by an Advisory Committee whose members are all active in academia. This guarantees a content which is both technically accurate and unbiased. The modules are available for download online, free of charge, through the following link.
We hope that these educational resources on stainless steels will prove useful to you, your lecturers, your students, the architects, and will help them to build the world of tomorrow.
Yours faithfully,
Tim Collins
